On Friday, April 29, second-grade students at Lockport Lower Elementary School in Lockport, Louisiana, participated in Career Day. Joining them to tell all about life aboard a tugboat was Crescent Towing’s Captain Nolte Lincks. Speaking with the students, Captain Lincks explained what his job as a tugboat captain entails, described the process of docking and undocking vessels, and answered the many questions posed by the curious students. By the end of the day, Captain Lincks had spoken with five different second-grade classes – a total of 125 students – and presented each student with a small backpack embossed with the Crescent Towing logo.
